Our frontline workers are some of our greatest heroes of 2020. This summer, the Levi’s? brand and the San Francisco Giants are teaming up to honor six non-profit organizations in the Bay Area community who are taking action and making a difference for those most in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are proud that through our partnership with Levi’s? we can recognize the resiliency of these community organizations to respond to the current needs of their clients in this unsettling time,” said Jason Pearl, senior vice president, Partnerships and Business Development, San Francisco Giants.
Both have long standing relationships with the organizations and are thrilled to further support their efforts and celebrate their resilience and dedication. These nonprofits have continued to be a reliable source of support for veterans, the homeless, victims of domestic violence, and those needing an extra hand during these unprecedented times. They include:
- San Francisco-Marin Food Bank
- Larkin Street Youth Services
- Swords to Plowshares
- Homeless Prenatal Program
- Project Open Hand
- La Casa de las Madres
Each nonprofit will receive a grant to assist them in providing resources and services for the populations they serve. In addition, as the mandate to wear face coverings continues for the foreseeable future, Levi’s? is providing reusable masks to each organization to share with staff and volunteers who continue to be on the frontlines in our communities.
“Our world has changed in ways we could have never imagined, making the essential work of organizations working hard to assist others in our community that much more crucial,”? said Anna Walker, vice president of Public Affairs for Levi Strauss & Co. “Now more than ever, it’s important to come together to help those facing this pandemic.”
